Lucy Paolozzi, Performer and Entrepreneur Behind Performers House
Lucy is the founder of Performers House and a passionate advocate for high quality performing arts education. With a professional background in dance, circus, teaching, and business, Lucy brings together industry experience and strong leadership to create a supportive and well structured, nurturing environment for young performers.
Her journey began with formal training, graduating with a Level 6 qualification in Performing Arts from Trinity College London, dance exams with ISTD & RAD. Shortly after graduating, Lucy secured her first professional role as a dancer and animator in Cyprus, where she developed confidence, professionalism, and strong communication skills working with international audiences.
This early experience soon led her into the circus industry, where she went on to work as a dancer, dance captain, choreographer, and performer in large scale productions across Europe. Over the years, Lucy has also directed shows and produced three of her own circus productions, gaining valuable insight into both creative and operational aspects of live entertainment.
Alongside her performing career, Lucy has always had a strong interest in business and long term career development. While still working on her third professional dance contract, she founded her first company, Glitz and Glam Entertainment. The business was created to support performers and provide high quality talent for shows and productions, while allowing Lucy to remain connected to the industry wherever she was working and at any age.
Today, Glitz and Glam Entertainment works with talented dancers and circus artists across Europe, supplying performers for a wide range of professional productions.
FROM PERFORMER TO FOUNDER
During the COVID-19 lockdown, when the performing industry temporarily came to a halt, Lucy once again adapted and diversified. Using this period to develop new skills, she launched a side project that quickly grew into her second full time business, Sweet Escape Sweets and Treats. What began as a small venture became a successful company, strengthening her experience in branding, customer service, systems, and sustainable business growth.
Alongside her professional and entrepreneurial work, Lucy has extensive experience in education. She has taught creatively and managed in a wide range of settings, including stage schools, primary schools, high schools, nurseries, and alternative provision schools. This background has given her a strong understanding of child development, confidence building, and the importance of creating safe, positive learning environments.
THE VISION BEHIND PERFORMERS HOUSE
Performers House was created as a result of this combined experience in performance, teaching, and business. The school reflects Lucy’s belief that young people benefit most from structured, well managed training that is both fun and creative yet professionally delivered.
As a founder, Lucy is open about the importance of running the school to high professional standards. Clear communication, safeguarding, organisation, and long term stability are central to how Performers House operates. For parents, this means confidence that their children are part of a reliable, well supported programme. Whilst at the same time, creativity, enjoyment, and personal growth remain at the heart of every class. Lucy’s aim is to help students develop not only technical skills, but also confidence, resilience, and self belief.
By combining her experience as a performer with her success as a business owner, Lucy has created a school that reflects both passion and professionalism. Performers House continues to grow as a place where young performers are encouraged to explore their potential in a supportive and structured studio.
